2nd Soča Outdoor Festival

On 4 July, the 2nd Soča Outdoor Festival will take place in Kobarid and Tolmin. A sporting event will be attended by mountain cyclists, hikers, parachute jumpers, climbers, hang-glider pilots and other amateurs of outdoor sporting activities. The Outdoor festival is only one in a series of numerous events that have enriched the Soča valley of festivals with sports, culture and music in recent years.

The centre of the Soča valley is Tolmin, which has been known for years as a popular centre for sports enthusiasts. In July, the Soča Outdoor Festival will take place for the second time and will be accompanied by fresh air and the fast beating hearts of sportsmen. Recreational sportsmen will get their opportunity in Tolmin and the more demanding adrenalin enthusiasts will be able to compete in Kobarid. Click here to register.

The festival will start on 31 May with a Riders party when kayakers meet and open the new season. The descent of the emerald Soča river is one of the most attractive in the world, probably also because of the exceptional beauty of the surrounds and the river itself. The descent will satisfy the most demanding kayakers and also recreational ones too.

Apart from competitions, numerous other activities will also take place during the festival. Enthusiastic cyclists can participate in the Enduro Bike Camp or the Bike Weekend with Tadej Valjavec, while runners can attend the Running Camp Soča 2014 and climbers can test their strength at the Boulder workshop. Film fans can choose from a selection of the best films at the Bovec Outdoor Film Festival.
