Slovenia at the ITB Berlin 2015

Slovenia will be presented between 4 and 8 March at the international ITB Berlin, which focuses on the latest trends in tourism. Slovenia will be presented in Hall 17 with an emphasis on thermal water.

Slovenia will be presented between 4 and 8 March at the international ITB Berlin, one of the leading global travel trade show, which focuses on the latest trends in tourism. Slovenia will be presented in Hall 17 with the slogan “Green. Active. Healthy.”, with an emphasis on thermal water. Welcome to the Slovenian exhibition space!

The global travel show ITB Berlin presents the full spectrum of the global tourism industry. The latest trends in tourism are presented and meetings of the highest representatives of participating countries and lectures and presentations of scientific research achievements in the tourism industry are held.

Slovenia will traditionally be showcased with its stand in Hall 17 under the slogan ”Green. Active. Healthy”. At this year’s presentation, the aspect of thermal water and diversity of Slovenia’s tourist offer will be emphasised. Under the auspices of the SPIRIT Slovenia public agency, the Tourism Division, a total of 19 Slovenian companies will be presented at the stand. The main partner of this year’s presentation at the ITB Berlin is the tourist organisation Ljubljana Tourism. The capital will be presented as “Ljubljana – the Green Capital of Europe 2016” with the accompanying topic “Taste Ljubljana”.

The Slovenian stand will be visited in the first few days by a delegation from the Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, who will meet key stakeholders in Slovenian tourism. The delegation, headed by Minister Zdravko Počivalšek, will be guided by Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Germany, Her Excellency Marta Kos Marko. One of the highlights of the event will be a press conference of representatives of the airport operator Fraport, the Slovenian flag carrier Adria Airways, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the SPIRIT Slovenia public agency. A ‘meet & greet’ will also be organised at the stand between the travel agencies Lufthansa City Centre of Germany and Kompas of Slovenia. In the evening, there will be a presentation of a project of the Danube Region which will also include Slovenia. The trade show is open to the general pubic between 7 and 8 March.
