Stories of waters with healing powers

Thermal and mineral springs can invigorate you just like a refreshing bath or drink of spring water. Slovenia has almost 100 natural thermal springs with water temperatures ranging between 32 and 73 degrees Celsius. Relax and forget about time in one of Slovenia’s fifteen natural health resorts. Slovenian health and wellness centres are never far away and the facilities they offer are some of the best in Europe. Check out tourist packages which successfully combine activities and well-being at Slovenian spas.

The drinking water of Slovenia invigorates the body and soul. Thermal water can be found in the central, south and north-eastern regions of Slovenia. In the 1960s, attempts were made to find oil in the Pannonian Plain, and 800 m below the surface a thermal and mineral wealth was found as well. Its black and paraffin types of thermal water are a special feature of this region. Mineral water can also be found in Slovenia. Donat Mg has the highest magnesium content in the world and after its discovery Radenska became the official mineral water of the Vienna court.

The sea enriches the water with minerals in the south-western part of Slovenia, where brine and saltwater are a true fountain of youth with their healing salts and minerals. Welcome to relaxing Slovenia!
