Boutique glamping in Bela Krajina

Bela Krajina, the southernmost region of Slovenia, invites you to explore its natural beauty and rich heritage. The unique culture in the embrace of towns and villages and hospitable local people ensure that your vacation is really something special. Be pampered at Glamping Malerič! Above-standard camping in modern luxurious camp houses with a natural pool mean an unforgettable experience. The camp is located on the outskirts of Lahinja Landscape Park at the highest point at the end of Podlog village, which has a 270° view of the breath-taking landscape.

Glamping Malerič is located in the idyllic village of Podlog by the Lahinja River. Each camp house is named after a typical characteristic of Bela Krajina. Kingfisher is a bird of slow watercourses, which is why the environment of the Kolpa River makes a perfect habitat. You will recognise it by its colourful feathers, which distinguishes it from other birds. In addition to the Kolpa, the Lahinja River is also meandering its way through Bela Krajina. Its headwaters consist of karst springs which are part of the Lahinja Landscape Park. The fresh environment created by both rivers is home to birch trees - its typical white and grey bark can be seen from far away.

Bela Krajina provides countless possibilities for active vacations in nature. Sit on a bicycle or venture on a hike. Take a canoe or kayak down the Kolpa. Swim with the peaceful flow or playful river rapids, which provide pleasant refreshment in hot summer months. In 2010, the Kolpa River was declared a European Destination of Excellence - EDEN. In addition to water, three regions meet here and as many as five nationalities, which together write the Kolpa tales. The region is known for pottery, embroidery, basket weaving and Bela Krajina pisanica: Easter eggs decorated with beeswax. The surroundings fill you with energy, since many energy points and vital energy centres are located in the area.

Venture on the Bela Krajina Wine Route, encompassing the Črnomelj, Metlika and Semič wine-producing districts. Drink a glass of Belokranjec or Metliška črnina which boast recognised traditional denominations. A piece of Bela Krajina pogača is a perfect when socialising. Welcome to Bela Krajina!
