Flow International Festival Visits Slovenia

The Flow Festival is one of the world`s leading musical, design and cultural events. For the first time in its history, it will reach beyond Helsinki. From 26th to 28th June 2015, Flow will take over Ljubljana. Enjoy one of the biggest world`s festivals – its combination of popular culture, experimental art and gourmet food. According to the American newspaper The Guardian, Flow is ranked among the top 10 European festivals that you should not miss.

The beginnings of the festival date back to 2004, when it was started in Helsinki as a series of alternative events. However, it quickly outgrew its initial framework and became one of the most prominent music and experience festivals in Europe. Recording up to 60,000 visitors per year, it is based on collaboration with the local community, artists, bar & restaurant owners and individuals. For the first time in its history, Flow is now reaching beyond the city and state borders. From 26th to 28th June, it will be hosted by Ljubljana, in the environment of Tobačna city near the city centre. The sister festival, the Flow Festival Ljubljana, will focus on new and inspiring music, urban culture, visual arts and a selection of culinary delights. In addition to cultural events, the festival will host Flow Talks, thus following its primary principles as well as encouraging and spreading the four effective ideas for society`s progress. Since the eco-friendly festival supports sustainable development, bicycles and public transport will be favoured over cars. The concept will also be followed by caterers who will use locally sourced ingredients and bio-degradable plates and utensils.
