Slovenia invites you on holiday! Promotional material with the"Green. Active. Healthy" slogan boast the most representative tourist gems of Slovenia – Ljubljana, Piran, Bled, Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, Triglav National Park, Brda, River Soča, Lipica and Planica.

Just before the summer tourist season, Slovenian tourism presents a diverse selection of ad campaigns fronted by the ‘I Feel Slovenia’ tourism brand. The campaigns are supported by the European Regional Development Fund of €3.6 million.

The advertising is carried out on key markets for Slovenian tourism, i.e. in Germany, Austria and Italy, where most of our visitors hail from. The promotional video is played by the following international TV networks: the British BBC, the Austrian ORF and the German ARD-Das Erste. Flip through the digital tourist catalogue of Slovenia and embark on a virtual journey through the beautiful country between the Alps and the Mediterranean. Follow the tourist portal through other media and social networks.

This year, European funds intended to increase the competitiveness of Slovenian tourism allowing us to build advertising during Expo Milano 2015, especially before the main summer tourist season. As of May, and coinciding with the EXPO Milano 2015, an extensive ad campaign was initiated in the cities of Northern Italy, using outdoor advertising as well as bus and tram ads. The campaign on the BBC World News global TV network also started in May.

Experience Slovenia. Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia and European Green Capital 2016, welcomes you to central Slovenia with open arms. Stroll through the picturesque Piran, whose history has been written by the salt-making heritage. Stop at the idyllic Bled adorned by an island in the middle of the alpine lake. Embark on the road to the Triglav National Park and climb the highest Slovenian summits at the heart of the Julian Alps. The area is home to the spring of the Soča, the most beautiful European river with emerald water that enchants its many visitors and a paradise for extreme sports lovers. In the sunny region of Brda, treat yourself to red cherries and a glass of wine made from the local Ribolla Gialla variety, and enjoy the sunset glowing over the romantic hills. Watch a show by the haute-école riding school in Lipica, which is home to the world-famous white Lipizzaner horses.

There is wise heritage and history preserved in Slovenia. Slovenes are proud of the dual grammatical number, which is a unique feature of the Slovene language, and the beneficial effects of green forests that cover more than half of the country. Feel the vitality of the green environment supported by an abundant water network. Slovenia offers innumerable opportunities for an outdoor holiday; our green oasis is usually only a few kilometres away from urban centres. There are countless secluded spots, beautiful vistas and opportunities to enjoy.
