A special world between Pohorje and Bohorje will await you in the Kozjansko region. Go to the east of Slovenia and stroll around the secret corners of the country.

Learn about the beauties of Kozjansko. The clear water here is captured between the slopes of Pohorje and Bohorje. The springs of thermal and mineral water are found on the tectonic border lines and they proudly provide water to the renowned Slovenian natural spas. Let yourself go and enjoy the beneficial effects of water in Thermana Laško in Laško, in Dobrna Spa located between Celje and Velenje and Terme Olimia in Podčetretek.

Have a rest in the peaceful shelter of Šmartinsko lake near Celje. Have a picnic in the shade ashore. The idyllic surroundings of the lake call for you to visit it. The prince`s town may be explored by finding out about its rich history and course of events. Spend a day in an active manner on Celje cottage at 650 m above sea level or visit the Old Castle, one of the oldest medieval castles in Slovenia where the history of the Celje Counts is recorded.

Close to Gorice pri Slivnici, at the road to Podčetrtek, there is the Slivnica lake or the Kozjansko sea as it is called by the locals. The lake is 5 kilometres long and its width; 500 m. It was created in 1976 by the damming of Dobrina and Ločnica stream. You may go for fishing in the lake, or you may row in a canoe or kayak or you may go walking, jogging or cycling around it.
