The Slovenian tourism industry presents a new promotional video on Slovenia and its beauties, created in collaboration with the popular vocal ensemble Perpetuum Jazzile. The main thread of the video is a performance of the world-famous song Na Golici by Avseniki. The promotional video presents Slovenia as a green, active and healthy destination.

Listen to the musical invitation to the green, active and healthy Slovenia! The popular a capella band Perpetuum Jazzile invites you to discover the beautiful places between the Mediterranean and the Alps.

Begin your journey in the picturesque coastal city of Piran, which is home to the Slovenian tradition of salt making. Not far from Piran, you will be greeted by the noble Lipizzaner horses which have been raised by the Lipica Stud Farm since 1580. In addition to a panoramic horse carriage ride, treat yourself to a train ride running through the Postojna Cave. The 140-year-old little train will take you into the depths of the most famous cave open for tourists in the world. Make a stopover at the sunny region of Goriška Brda. Visit the medieval village of Šmartno, one of the most beautiful cultural monuments in Slovenia. In Šmartno, beautiful scenic views open up on the Brda wine-bearing hills and orchards. Continue northwards, into the valley of the Soča river. The emerald river is considered one of the most beautiful Alpine rivers in Europe. Soča itself is a popular course for whitewater sports, while its surroundings are a haven for all fans of an active vacation in nature. Turn your gaze towards the mountaintops. The highest among them is Triglav with its 2,864 m, which is a popular mountaineering challenge and a symbol of Slovenia. In the embrace of the mountains lies Bled. Board the traditional Pletna boat and sail to the iconic island in the middle of the lake. Treat yourself to a piece of the delicious Bled cream cake which the locals call Kremšnita.

Straight from the mountains, visit the plains of eastern Slovenia and the city of Maribor. The second-largest Slovenian city is home to the oldest grape vine in the world. The vine of the Žametovka or Modra Kavčina variety is over 400 years old and still bears grapes. Its wine is used in the form of protocol gifts given at special national ceremonies. Also, don`t forget to make a stop in the national capital, Ljubljana. The Green Capital of Europe 2016 has an historical city centre with a tangle of picturesque streets running along the banks of the Ljubljanica river. Let the path take you to Ljubljana Castle from where you can see all the way to the Kamnik–Savinja Alps.

Perpetuum Jazzile, a popular Slovenian a capella ensemble, is famous all over Europe and the world. Have you heard their cover of "Africa" with over 18 million views on YouTube? In the promotional video, Perpetuum Jazzile performs "Na Golici" written by Slavko Avsenik. Na Golici is the most-played instrumental song in the world.
