Smell of salt and good food

Autumn months in Slovenia are a delight with lots of fun, pampering and great flavours of the sea. Soak up the sea air, which has a beneficial effect on the respiratory system. Treat your skin with salubrious wraps of sea mud. Enjoy the flavours of the sea, enriched by the Piran salt from the Sečovlje salt-pans.

“Salt is the sea that could not return to the sky” is inscribed on each and every salt pack from the Piran salt-pans. Love for the sea, sun and salt can be felt in a range of experiences offered by the Slovenian coastal region. Breathe in the sea air, which has a beneficial effect on the respiratory system. Treat yourself with flavours of the sea, seasoned and enriched by the Piran salt from the Sečovlje salt-pans. Salt is extracted by processes and guidelines which haven`t changed in 700 years. Fleur de Sel or salt flower, the most valuable and rarest of salt harvests, is known in prestigious restaurants around the world. This salt is used for seasoning the Piran sea bass, which is bred at Fonda fish farm. This fish is excellently prepared at many restaurants in Slovenia. And for dessert, treat yourself with chocolate with fleur de sel.

Salt-making tradition is successfully applied even today in the Talaso Strunjan spa. You will be pampered in this beautiful regional park with the gifts of the sea that strengthen, balance, and re-energize your body and regenerate your skin. Relax in the Thalasso therapy with sea baths and mud. Swim in the sea water swimming pools. Indulge in skin peels and hand massages with Mediterranean oils and herbs. Take a walk along the Adriatic Sea coast to the highest cliff in Slovenia. Watch the most beautiful sunsets from the height of 80 m and relax at the sound of roaring waves.
