Days of Slovenian Tourism 2015

The Days of Slovenian Tourism represents the main professional event in tourism, and is organized according to the strategic direction of strengthening the connections and development of Slovenian tourism with partner institutions.

The Days of Slovenian Tourism represents the main professional event in tourism, and is organized according to the strategic direction of strengthening the connections and development of Slovenian tourism with partner institutions. A 3-day programme in Nova Gorica, from 12th to 14th of October, had a plenary session, the meeting of the 62nd Catering and Tourism Assembly of Slovenia, the 18th Slovenian tourism forum and other events.

The DST (Days of Slovenian Tourism) event is organized in accordance with the strategic guideline of strengthening integration in the development and marketing of Slovenian tourism. The event took place in Nova Gorica in western Slovenia from 12th to 14th of October, and hosted all the major partner institutions active in the field of tourism in Slovenia: the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Slovenian Tourist Board (STB), Tourist Association of Slovenia, Tourism and Hospitality Chamber of Slovenia, Catering and Tourism Section of the Chamber of Crafts and Small Businesses of Slovenia, Chamber of Mountain Centres – Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, Association of Slovenian Travel Agencies, Slovenian Natural Health Resorts Community, Slovenian Convention Bureau, Association of Tourism Journalists of FIJET Slovenia, GIZ Hiking and Biking and others.

Within the framework of the Days of Slovenian Tourism, several important events were taking places, including: the Plenary session of DST, where the highest awards in tourism will be made; the 62nd Catering and Tourism Assembly; the event My Country – Beautiful and Hospitable; and the 18th Slovenian Tourism Forum. Guests and visitors discussed the future goals of Slovenian tourism and our current challenges, and examine examples of good practice.
