Slovenian pavilion at the world exhibition EXPO welcomed its one-millionth visitor. The lucky guest is Marco Rota from Milan with his wife, who won a week vacation in Slovenia. The last data show that the pavilion had around 7,100 visitors per day, most of them from Italy and France.

The lucky one-millionth guest of the Slovenian pavilion is Mario from Milan. He was a regular visitor of EXPO Milano, but waited long until stepping his foot into the Slovenian pavilion. He has a special bond with Slovenia because his father was born in a coastal town of Piran and knows Slovenian Istria quite well. Mario was impressed by the Slovenian pavilion and was one of his favourite because it strongly followed the theme of EXPO 2015. He recognized the promotional hearts “I feel Slovenia” around Milan, too. The reward he received for being the one-millionth visitor of the Slovenian pavilion includes a romantic weekend and a degustation for two at the Ošterija & Hotel Dolenjske toplice in Southeastern Slovenia, two-night accommodation with half board for two at the Grand Hotel Primus in Terme Ptuj, located in the oldest Slovenian town of Ptuj, lunch for two at the restaurant of Jezeršek Catering at Bled Castle and two-night accommodation for two at the Hotel Sotelia in Terme Olimia in Podčetrtek.

The data from the Slovenian pavilion at EXPO Milano show that the pavilion had around 7,100 visitors per day, most of them from Italy and France. A short survey among the visitors showed that almost 95% of the respondents would recommend a visit of the Slovenian pavilion to their relatives and friends and almost 86% would like to visit Slovenia themselves. Visitors of the Slovenian pavilion were impressed by the architecture of the pavilion and pointed out extremely friendly approach of the Slovenian personnel in the pavilion. Slovenian pavilion was considered to be one of the best at EXPO due to its interactive content presentations, like walking on Piran salt, smelling the nine different types of honey, spinning windmills that visitors could blow and multimedia virtual 3D glasses.
