With one of the oldest skiing traditions in Central Europe, Slovenia is a perfect winter destination for sports activities on natural snow. More than 30 modern ski centres offer over 300 km of slopes and 280 km of cross-country trails. Find your favourite one in the new publication Ski Resorts in Slovenia, which was published by the Slovenian Tourist Board in collaboration with the Chamber of Mountain Centres – Chamber of Commerce in Slovenian, English, Croatian, Serbian and Russian. Almost every ski resort is close to a big Slovenian town. Imagine having one of the most beautiful winter experiences, sliding down a snow-white hill, listening to the sound of squeaky natural snow at every turn – and all that less than an hour’s drive from the capital. Most ski facilities are located in the western part of the country, in the Alps, where Slovenia traditionally hosts international winter competitions and welcomes the world’s skiing and Nordic elite.

Discover the beneficial effects of Slovenian natural thermal and mineral water, sea, the fresh air of the mountain climate, brine and salt-pan mud, therapeutic peloids and peat. Dive into the source of health and wellbeing, and treat yourself with a relaxing massage, invigorating sauna and some time for yourself at 14 Slovenian natural spas. The Slovenian Tourist Board, in cooperation with the Slovenian natural spas, gives you more than 10 reasons to pay them a visit in their new publication Healthy Water – Slovenian natural spas in Slovenian, English, German, Russian, Croatian and Italian. A vacation, a long weekend or sometimes just a day or two are enough to fill you with energy and relax your mind. With the beautiful nature surrounding the spas, the environment offers numerous possibilities for an active leisure time.

Slovenian rivers, with their streams and tributaries, have shaped a diverse and unique Slovenian landscape that connects the Alps, the Mediterranean Sea, the karst and the Pannonian plain. The fresh clear waters in the natural green landscape are home to a hundred of species of fish. Fishing has a long and rich tradition with fly fishing regarded as one of the most respected and beautiful fishing disciplines. Explore the Slovenian love of water and fish with the new publication Fly fishing in Slovenia, published by the Slovenian Tourist Board, the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia and the Fishing Association of Slovenia. It is available in Slovenian, English, German, French and Italian.
