The Express Airways airline, based at Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport, will open a new flight connection between Slovenia and Germany. The airline will fly twice a week between Maribor and Düsseldorf, starting on 24th March.
Green, active and healthy Slovenia is connecting with Germany. Express Airways is a Slovenian airline with its headquarters in Maribor and a German branch in Düsseldorf. The airline will open a new flight connection twice a week between the two cities, starting on 24th March. Since 2012, the airline has also administered a EASA approved flight school in Maribor.
In the future, the Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport is expecting further development of its recognition and flight connections, due to an idea of establishing a new fund to promote and develop tourism in north-east Slovenia, which will attract more tourists to the region and increase the airport’s traffic. The fund will be provided by the municipalities, local tourism providers and the cooperation of the Slovenian Tourist Board.
Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport is only 10 kilometres from the city of Maribor. The capital of the Štajerska region is the second largest city in Slovenia, where you are invited to wander through the streets with their vibrant atmosphere.
