Slovenia – partner country at IFT Beograd 2016

From 18th to 21st February, green, active and healthy Slovenia will be the partner country at the International Fair of Tourism (IFT) Belgrade, showcasing 17 Slovenian destinations, hoteliers and attractions. This year the lead partner of Slovenian tourism is the world famous winter resort, Kranjska Gora. This popular family destination traditionally hosts an Alpine Ski World Cup competition and the finals of the Ski Jumping World Cup, for the first time this year held in the new Planica Nordic Centre. In Belgrade, Kranjska Gora will also invite visitors for fantastic summer outdoor retreats. The Slovenian Active Park will organize a prize competition and encourage everybody in Belgrade to try the polygon for cycling, a climbing wall, a “slack line” or an igloo. In the spotlight of Slovenia’s presentation will also be the capital city of Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, and Slovenian natural health resorts. On 11th February, a week prior to the beginning of the fair, a press conference was held in Belgrade.

At the International Fair of Tourism (IFT) in Belgrade from 18th to 21st February, many key players of Slovenian tourism will present themselves:

* the cities of Ljubljana, Maribor, Kranj, Celje

* the outdoor destinations of Kranjska Gora, Bohinj and Kamnik

* the most visited Slovenian attraction, Postojna Cave

* the Slovenian natural health resorts Terme Olimia, Rimske terme, Terme Čatež, Thermana Laško and Terme Zreče

* the hotels Hotel Park Ljubljana, Bernardin Group, Istrabenz Turizem and Sportina Turizem.

On 11th February, the partnerships between Slovenia and Serbia took an important role at a press conference organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia, the Slovenian Tourist Board, the Serbian Tourism Organization, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia and the Belgrade Fair.
