Kranjska Gora among best Ski Resorts in Europe

Kranjska Gora is a beautiful small resort, in Slovenia’s Julian Alps, where everything is geared towards thrilling winter adventures. Ski lifts and ski runs stretch over the slopes at altitudes from 800m to 1,215m, offering 18 ski slopes of different technical difficulty for all skiing enthusiasts.

If you like cross-country skiing, Kranjska Gora offers a 40-kilometre-long trail from the centre of Kranjska Gora into the Tamar Valley. Each year Kranjska Gora hosts one of the most important events in the Alpine skiing World Cup series, the Vitranc Cup, for the slalom and giant slalom.

When visiting Kranjska Gora a nearby “must-see” is the legendary ski jumping hill Planica, where the first ski jump over 100m was achieved in 1936.
