The American travel blog and website Intrepid Travel has put together a list of the 4 European countries where you get the most for your money – in American dollars. Slovenia thrilled the authors of the website with our magnificent Alps, picturesque Ljubljana, and iconic Bled with its marvellous lake. “History buffs, skiers, beach bums, nature-lovers, and foodies: be prepared to fall in love with Slovenia”, is how they ended their description of green, active and healthy Slovenia.

High alpine peaks, Mediterranean Sea, magnificent green landscape, lovely capital city and iconic attractions: green, active and healthy Slovenia has it all, and it recently inspired American bloggers at the website Intrepid Travel to put it on its list of 4 European countries where the US travel dollar is strongest. The list is based on a budget and the must-see destinations which have the best value for American tourists. But prices are not the only thing that attracts tourists from the other side of the Atlantic: visit Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, which proves that nature, green spaces and an urban environment can go hand in hand, while iconic Bled and its lake are known as a magnet for everybody who enjoys romantic scenery and stunning views of the high peaks of the Julian Alps.
