The news about the dragon baby boom in Postojna Cave has spread around the world. It has aroused the interest and sympathy of many international media, like the New York Times, the BBC and the Discovery Channel. A team from the Discovery Channel visited Postojna Cave on Tuesday, 8 March.

Postojna Cave has been wowing visitors with the beauty and magnificence of its underground halls and the extent of its tunnels for two centuries. For the last couple of weeks, it has also been thrilling visitors, scientists and media from all over the world; one of the female olms has laid 55 eggs in the aquarium located at the end of the organised trail in Postojna Cave, a rare event in the natural karst environment, happening only once a decade.

In March, Postojna Cave hosted a crew from the Discovery Channel, who filmed the aquarium with the expectant mother and her eggs. They are preparing and recording a thematic show about the olm phenomenon.

Other bigger media have written about the extraordinary event in the Slovenian karst:

* The New York Times Science News: In a Slovenian Cave, hoping for a batch of baby `dragons`

* BBC Science and Environment: Olm eggs: Tense wait for baby Slovenian `dragons`

* Discovery News: Cave-dwelling `baby dragons` ready to hatch in Slovenia
