The Sweetest Festival in Slovenia

The biggest chocolate event in Slovenia, the Chocolate Festival, attracts numerous chocolate masters and visitors to Radovljica. Chocolate goodies will be displayed and offered for tasting in Linhart Square and at the Radovljica Mansion from 15th to 17th April.

Visit honestly sweet Radovljica in the northwest Slovenia, close to Bled, where the 5th Chocolate Festival will take place between 15th and 17th April. The festival is entirely dedicated to chocolate, and both Slovenian and foreign producers and chocolate shops are presented. Have you ever tried chocolate with honey? Radovljica has been known for its honey and beekeeping tradition for centuries.

Watch the culinary duels and demonstrations of the use of chocolate in the kitchen in Linhart Square and Radovljica Mansion. Have a bite of the biggest whole nut chocolate bar, made especially for the festival. You can try all the products and chocolate creations displayed at the festival in exchange for coupons.

This popular event in Radovljica brings together “chocoholics” and producers of chocolate and displays the rich history of producing the sweet pieces of art. The town’s chocolate heritage started over 90 years ago in nearby Lesce, where a family chocolate production company was established. Today it is known as Gorenjka (“woman from Gorenjska region”) and is the most famous Slovenian chocolate.
