Bled Strategic Forum with a safety note

The Bled Strategic Forum, a dialogue between leaders from the private and public sectors on key issues which Europe is facing in the 21st century, is known as one of the most prominent high-profile international conferences. This year’s edition has the slogan “Safeguarding the Future” and will take place between 5th and 6th September 2016 at Bled, the icon of Slovenian tourism with its emerald Alpine lake and romantic island in the middle. In addition to the main forum, the tourism panel will discuss the theme of “Security and Sustainability in Tourism” on the 6th September. Did you know Slovenia is one of the safest and greenest countries in the world?

Over the last decade, the Bled Strategic Forum has evolved into one of the most notable international conferences for strategic dialogue. The Forum is traditionally organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Center for European Perspective. Under the headline Safeguarding the Future, the Forum participants will seek answers to important questions and solutions for challenges faced by the international community while following the path to unity and prosperity.

Take part in the Tourism Panel on the 6th September, which supplements the content of the Bled Strategic Forum by seeking answers to the current challenges of the global tourism industry. This year`s tourism panel is entitled “Security and Sustainability in Tourism”. Tourism industry depends on global security and sustainable development. The key threats in recent years are terrorism, increasing migration, global warming and other environmental challenges. Slovenia ranks as one of the safest countries in the world, with high level of environmental awareness. In the spirit of Ljubljana as the European Green Capital 2016 and a host of the Global Green Destination Day in September, the panel of tourism and sustainability experts will help to answer the questions on global security challenges and discuss sustainability solutions in the tourism industry.
