Slovenian photographer among Pulitzer winners

Green, active and healthy Slovenia adds another story of success to its archives. The Slovenian photographer Srdjan Živulović took one of the photos that won Reuters this year`s Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography.

Slovenian photographer Srdjan Živulović is a member of the photography staff of Reuters Thompson, who won the prestigious Pulitzer Price for Photography, annually awarded for journalism, with colleagues from the New York Times for pictures and photo reportage of the European refugee crisis. The photographer has been collaborating with Reuters since Slovenia’s independence in 1991.

Srdjan Živulović `s photo pictures migrants making their way on foot on the outskirts of Brežice, in southeast Slovenia. The series of pictures is an example of breaking news photography in black and white and colour. You can see Srdjan Živulović `s winning photo here.
