Slovenian Kids go to Kickstarter

Slovenia inspires. New ideas are generated in every corner of our green, active and healthy country, which together with knowledge grow into innovative creations. 24 Hands Stands: A New Stand for Kids by Kids is a unique Kickstarter campaign, the first of its kind in Slovenia, since it is made by children aged 9-13.

Children have been learning about Kickstarter for four months at the Tri sestre Society`s (Three Sisters Society) entrepreneurial workshop called Kids go to Kickstarter, from where they developed the idea for the crowdfunding project. The young “businesspeople” want to build a new sales stand, designed for them by them, for an eye-catching display of their handmade crafts at the street markets in Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016. Their unique Kickstarter campaign 24 Hands Stands: A New Stand for Kids by Kids is supported by mentors, who are helping them solve the challenges the children face while selling their handmade crafts at classic table stands, such as no shade on sunny days, no roof over their heads and over their craftwork in case of showers, flimsy stand structure on windy days, no built-in system for displaying the different crafts, the limited portability of the stand and so on.
