The land of healthy waters and drinking fountains

They say that running clean water from a tap is a true privilege nowadays. In Slovenia, we enjoy it every day. In Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, natural drinking water is always within arm’s reach and you can capture it in your hands or bottles throughout the city, since there are as many as 31 urban public drinking fountains. All over Slovenia, the water has one of the highest qualities in the world, and thus drinking fountains have also popped up in Maribor and other Slovenian towns. Anywhere in green, active and healthy Slovenia you can treat yourself to a glass of fresh clean water.

The natural wealth of water resources puts Slovenia at the top of Europe. You can run it from the nearest tap or you can refresh yourself with water flowing from vibrant streams in the mountains and forests. Slovenia is also rich in deep underground wells of mineral and thermal waters. Donat Mg and Radenska are among the most famous and healthy natural mineral waters in the world.

Drinking water is available at your fingertips even in the bigger Slovenian cities. Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, is one of the very few European capitals with drinking water that is not treated with any technological processes. There are more than 30 drinking fountains located in the city centre.

During the warm months, citizens and visitors can drink water from public water fountains in Maribor, Velenje and other Slovenian cities and towns. Water from these fountains is controlled and thus completely safe. Fill your bottle or cool your face with clean fresh Slovenian healthy water.
