Let´s hike in Slovenia

Slovenia loves hiking! Did you know that almost every Slovenian has a pair of good hiking boots always close by ready to fly to the mountains? Join numerous walkers on organised hikes at sport events and festivals. Learn about popular or hidden hiking destinations. “Let’s hike Slovenia” is an initiative by Hiking and Biking Slovenia which organises a series of hiking events throughout the year.

Our pristine green nature is accessible at every step in green, active and healthy Slovenia. Hiking is one of the most popular activities, since as many as 10,000 kilometres of marked trails can be found in the country. Hiking and Biking Slovenia, together with hiking destinations, have established a series of events. They include organised hikes discovering popular and hidden hiking destinations, as well as learning about the traditions and culinary delights of the regions. The events are supported by Slovenian ambassadors of an active lifestyle, such as Primož Kozmus, Olympic and World Champion in hammer throwing, and Viki Grošelj, one of the greatest Slovenian alpinists.
