Turkish Airlines and other flight connections with Slovenia

Turkish Airlines are celebrating ten years since they connected Slovenia and Turkey, and marking the anniversary by expanding their offer. Instead of ten times a week, planes connecting Istanbul and Ljubljana will now be flying twice a day. Slovenia has good flight connections with many European cities. The majority of aircrafts land at the international Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, and some international flights at the airports in Maribor and Portorož.

The Turkish air carrier, Turkish Airlines, has been flying between Ljubljana and Istanbul (Istanbul Ataturk Airport) since 16 January 2006, and is now providing two flights a day from Ljubljana and Istanbul, thereby improving connections to destinations in the Middle and Far East. In addition to Istanbul, Ljubljana has also regular connections with Frankfurt, Paris, Munich, Berlin, London, Manchester, Vienna, Zurich, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Moscow, Warsaw, Prague, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje, Tirana, Pristina and Podgorica. This year’s summer hits are connections to Athens and Helsinki.

Close proximity to airports in neighbouring countries is also important for Slovenia, particularly the airports in Graz, Klagenfurt, Venice, Treviso, Trieste, Zagreb, Pula and Rijeka from where it is possible to travel to Slovenia by public transport or car. Low-budget transport service providers such as GoOpti and Tima Transfer provide transport from airports in neighbouring countries to Slovenia.

Welcome to the green, active and healthy land!
