Slovenian MICE with a romantic seaside feel and hotels

The coastal tourist destinations of Portorož and Piran have been rapidly developing congress tourism. Their popularity among business tourists is growing, particularly because of their accessibility, modern congress infrastructure, high quality of service, short distances and seaside charm, since these advantages enable good quality organisation and save time. The Slovenian coast offers many alternative venues for events, such as former sea-salt warehouses, which have been the pride of Piran for over 700 years.

The 700-year-old story of local culture, marked by magnificent white crystals of salt produced in the Sečovlje salt pans, the most northerly functioning salt pans in the Mediterranean, will be beautifully revealed in renovated Hotel Slovenia 5* in Portorož. The biggest hotel chain LifeClass Hotels & Spa, situated on the Slovenian coast, will offer a new luxurious experience at the end of May 2016.

Slovenia’s coast is an excellent destination for congress activities, providing many advantages to business tourists: good value for money, a professional and hospitable approach, delicious culinary experiences and comfortable accommodation.

The congress tourism offer in Portorož and Piran includes high-category hotels with spacious conference centres and halls, such as Bernardin Group Resorts & Hotels, LifeClass Hotels & Spa, Remisens Premium Hotel Metropol, Hotel Kempinski,  Hotel Piran and the Convention Centre Portorož Auditorium.

The green orientation of further development and philosophy of the leading Slovenian seaside destination has been indicated by the new Lifeclass hotel. It is being built following modern trends in society, such as a healthy and sustainable lifestyle with the integration of local tradition and local natural resources. Healthy, modern Mediterranean cuisine prepared from locally-grown ingredients, a comfortable design with a lot of natural elements, and calming indoor and outdoor spaces will await the guests. Hotel Slovenija 5* is located on the Portorož promenade, which is perfect for an evening walk along the shoreline.

In addition to the hotel and conference programs and facilities, let´s not forget the traditional benefits of the Mediterranean: comprehensive medical wellness facilities with thalassotherapy, thermal brine, sea mud wraps, swimming pool complexes with heated sea water and hotel beaches. Therapists will gladly explain the healing properties of the Sea with more than 42,000 years of history and the beneficial effects of the thermo-mineral water.
