Together we are stronger: the story of the Classic Karst

This week, the most important attractions of the Slovenian Classical Karst signed an important partnership agreement. They decided to join forces and start to create tourist programs together with joint promotional and marketing activities.

Škocjan caves, featured on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Lipica Stud Farm, the home of the famous Lipizzaner horses, and Park of Military History Pivka are all part of the road, crossed by tourists, who travel from Venice, Trieste, or Istria towards Ljubljana.

With this important agreement, stakeholders are aiming to attract visitors with better offer of outdoor activities and guided tours. For the beginning, local tourist boards committed to starts their cooperation, and later the plan is to engage local tourism suppliers in order to create a complete and common story that would all share.

Slovenian classical Karst is famous for its pristine nature, mysterious underground caves, white horses, friendly people and fantastic food. The quality of local prosciutto and teran wine is known all over Europe. Since more and more travellers are searching for authentic experiences and niche products, there is no doubt that joint activities of the most beautiful Slovenian Karst attractions will influence the increase of new visitors.
