Ljubljana celebrates LGBT tourism in Europe with Pink week

Next week, Slovenia will be hosting the third Pink Week that will take place in Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, from 26th to 29th May. Pink Week is the LGBT – oriented travel and social event that connects outdoor, cultural and culinary experiences. The organisers, Matej and Mattej from Imperial Luxury Travel Solutions are very pleased with the project: “We are proud to have created a product that allows to experience the beauties of Slovenia to an extremely demanding segment of guests.”

This year, Pink week in Slovenia will have a special reason for celebration. Only few days ago, the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association set an important milestone. The leading global organization dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender tourism, announced its organizational partnership with the European Travel Commission. IGLTA and ETC are committed to a world where all travellers feel welcome, regardless of their orientation or gender identity and share in the goal of strengthening the tourism industry at large. The partnership was signed on the International day against homophobia, transphobia and biphobia, to reinforce the promotion of LGBT tourism in Europe.

With Pink Week Ljubljana is raising the awareness of Slovenia as a LGBT friendly destination. In the past years, the event has attracted numerous visitors from UK, Germany, France, Israel, Italy and other countries. This year, organizers are expecting an even bigger rainbow of nations and visitors.
