Do you remember the open call for the dream job in green, active and healthy Slovenia? The new eco-glamping tourist village, the Eko resort beneath Velika planina, will be located in the village of Godič near Kamnik in northern Slovenia. The scent of wood, the cosy environment, and the view through the window conjure up an enchanted atmosphere in the lovely shepherds’ village. The resort has chosen the first two winners, who will start their dream job in September 2016. The guests will be able to enjoy the company and management of 2 Slovenian celebrities, who will take the roles of Masters of the Resort afterwards.

Since March, when the Eko resort beneath Velika planina published an open call for a dream job, more than 3000 candidates have applied and more than a million people have seen the promotional video for the “best job in the world”. The first two selected candidates are a wealthy businessman from the United States of America and an experienced Macedonian shepherd, who will work with the resort when it opens its doors in September 2016. Special experience for the job at the Eko resort beneath Velika planina is not required, since one of the main conditions is the love of nature, children and animals.

Among the chosen candidates are also Slovenian singers Nuša Derenda, who also represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001, and Frank Nova, a singer from the legendary Slovenian band Babylon. Both are looking forward to stepping back from their daily busy agendas and stepping into the heart of nature and fresh air under the Kamnik Savinja Alps!

Book your stay in one of 24 wooden glamping houses for 4 people, imitating the shepherd’s huts at Velika planina, or in 9 glamping tents for 2 people.
