“I feel Slovenia” for 25 years

On 25th June 1991, Slovenia gained its independence. The day was marked by the historical words of the former Slovenian President Milan Kučan: “Today, dreams are allowed, tomorrow is a new day!”. Browse through an overview of the past 25 years on the website Slovenija25. For the occasion, the Washington Times has dedicated a 20-page spread about green, active and healthy Slovenia in their magazine. For the Jubilee, the Bank of Slovenia has released a new 2-euro coin which bears an inscription of a verse from the Slovenian national anthem.

After 25 years of independence Slovenia is mature, self-confident, lively, modern and brave. Among other things, in this small green country in the heart of Europe, its residents are enjoying high-quality healthcare, maternity protection, early education of children, a kindergarten system, and a healthy environment. Due to Slovenia’s position at the intersection of traditional trade routes, its well-developed physical and ICT infrastructure along with its highly-skilled workforce make it an attractive proposition as a business location. The green unspoilt nature of Slovenia, its history, culture, culinary traditions and other characteristics are described on a 20-page spread in the Washington Times magazine. Indulge in the stories and scenes from the magazine and feel Slovenia as it is. Green, active and healthy.
