Ljubljana will be the first European capital to get a new electric car-sharing model. The first vehicles will arrive in the European Green Capital 2016 on 1st July and will be available for rental through a mobile application. The whole project includes 50 vehicles and new cars will be added in the future. The project is part of the Ljubljana efforts to reduce air pollution.
The Avant2go car-sharing model aims to reduce harmful emissions - its electric vehicles can save up to 100,000 g of carbon dioxide per kilometre. The system lets users drive the vehicles at any time of the day in Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, and its surroundings. The majority of the car-sharing stations are located near the BTC City shopping district in the eastern part of the city, while one of them is at the Technology park Ljubljana in the western part of the capital.
The rental costs depend on the distance travelled and the time when the vehicle is used. Booking and payment are done entirely through a mobile application that you can put on your smartphone or tablet.
Explore Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, by car-sharing model and contribute to a cleaner environment.
