Refreshing summer festivals by the water in Slovenia

Slovenia’s range of entertainment is boosted by open-air festivals in the warmer months of the year. Join the colourful cultural events, entertaining music shows and popular festivals, and enjoy Slovenia’s summer vibes!

Enjoy the music in enchanting natural scenery

There is one thing that most of the Slovenian festivals have in common - amazing locations in the heart of unspoilt nature. Enjoy the famous view of the Lake Bled at the Okarina Festival of folk music, jump in the River Kolpa while listening to Punk Rock music at Schengenfest and sleep next to the one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe at Metaldays 2016.

Metaldays - Tolmin, 24.7-30.7

Metaldays is a heavy metal music festival that is located at Sotočje, in between the two picturesque mountain rivers. It has two "festival-owned" beaches for you to relax on. The festival has earned the status of real metal holidays because it takes a whole week. With a valid festival ticket you get to enjoy free camping in the unspoilt nature of the festival area.

Festival Okarina - Bled, 26.7-7.8

The Okarina International Music Festival is being held in Bled for the 26th year in a row. Musicians with the rhythms of contemporary music from all parts of the globe attract visitors to the idyllic surroundings of Lake Bled. The concerts are being held at Bled Castle and on the lake shore promenade.

Schengenfest - Vinica, 29.7-1.8

One of the most popular music festivals is bringing big music names to the village of Vinica near the Croatian border. The festival is located next to the clean, warm river Kolpa. This year the festival will feature acclaimed music groups such as Rudimental and Asian Dub Foundation from the UK and Guano Apes from Germany.
