Žale Cemetery is the biggest cemetery in Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016. It has a high cultural and historical value and is considered as one of the most beautiful cemeteries in Europe. It was designed by the architect Jože Plečnik, one of the most important Slovenian architects of the 20th century. The Garden of All Saints at Žale received a European Heritage Label in 2007 as a striking example of respect and respectful relationship to the deceased.

Here is where the new tour around the memorials of the First and Second World War starts. It takes you around Žale Cemetery to all the important monuments, ossuaries and graves that were marked by the two World Wars. The 2-hour tour is enriched with historical facts, interesting stories and the architectural background of the memorials.
