In the second half of August the streets of Postojna will be buzzing with the festival spirit. Combine the wonders of nature with the vivid Slovenian culture. Visit the famous Postojna Cave, enjoy a theatre show and dance at one of the many music concerts in the town streets. Visit Zmaj `ma mlade (“the dragon has babies”) festival and get to know colourful Postojna. It is a great coincidence that so many dragon babies were born really unexpectedly a few months ago after so many years in the cave.

A true wonder of nature, Postojna Cave is the biggest Slovenian attraction and the most visited cave in Europe. With a network of 20 kilometres of passages, galleries and chambers, Postojna Cave offers outstanding scenery. Go for an unforgettable train ride through the cave - the electric lighting allows you to admire the size and splendour of the underground world of Karst, where the geological past is recorded in a unique manner. Since May 2016 Postojna Cave has had another wonder to safeguard: the “Baby dragons” that made the rare mother olm famous all over the world were born in a controlled atmosphere in Postojna Cave.

It is not just the underworld of Postojna that is worth visiting. In the second half of August the streets of Postojna are buzzing with a festival vibe. Visit the 20th Zmaj ‘ma mlade festival and enjoy concerts of various musical genres, street theatre performances, art shows and more. For the youngest visitors there are different workshops that connect the tradition and lively spirit of Postojna.
