242 Slovenian Restaurants Featured in Falstaff 2026

Falstaff has published its selection of the best Slovenian restaurants for 2026. A total of 242 Slovenian restaurants have been included in the Falstaff Restaurant Guide Slovenia 2026, highlighting the diversity, quality and growing international recognition of Slovenia's culinary scene.

The highest distinction – four Falstaff forks – was awarded to ten Slovenian restaurants: Hiša Franko in Kobarid remains at the top with 99 points, followed by Restaurant Milka in Kranjska Gora with 98 points and Grič in Šentjošt nad Horjulom with 96 points. The remaining restaurants awarded four forks, each receiving 95 points, are Hiša Denk in Zgornja Kungota, Gostilna pri Lojzetu in Zemono, Ošterija Debeluh in Brežice, Restaurant Pavus in Laško, Restaurant Strelec in Ljubljana, Hiša Linhart in Radovljica and JB Restaurant in Ljubljana (from May on at Arboretum Golf Course).

Falstaff is one of Central Europe's most influential gastronomic guides and media brands. They use a 100-point rating system, with the assessments taking into account the overall culinary experience, quality of service, wine and beverage selection, and ambience. The fork classification provides diners with a quick indication of the highest-rated restaurants, while the point scores offer a more detailed distinction between individual establishments.

In addition to the ten restaurants awarded four forks, 37 Slovenian restaurants received three forks, demonstrating that exceptional gastronomy in Slovenia extends far beyond a handful of well-known establishments and continues to flourish across the country.

As Falstaff writes:

In Slovenia, culinary delights come paired with exceptional local wines – whether a traditional Osmica in the countryside or a delectable dish on the beach. The country boasts numerous styles of cooking, enriching the senses accordingly.

Inclusion in the Falstaff online guide represents an important endorsement of the quality of Slovenian restaurants, particularly in the DACH markets, where Falstaff is one of the leading gastronomic media brands. Gastronomy remains one of the cornerstones of Slovenia's tourism offering and a key element of the country's identity as a green, boutique and sustainable destination for discerning travellers.
