Where Champions Ride and Fans Belong

Following a successful Tour of Slovenia, the months ahead promise even more for cycling enthusiasts, from a once-in-a-lifetime experience with Matej Mohorič to the European Road Championships this autumn.

From world-class racing and legendary mountain climbs to unforgettable cycling experiences and passionate roadside support, Slovenia continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Europe's most exciting cycling destinations. The 32nd edition of the Tour of Slovenia once again showcased the country's spectacular landscapes, cycling culture and enthusiastic fans to millions of viewers worldwide. The momentum continues this autumn with an exclusive charity cycling experience led by Slovenian cyclist Matej Mohorič and the upcoming European Road Championships, which will bring the continent's best riders to Slovenian roads.

Green, Pristine and Made for Cycling

The Tour of Slovenia once again demonstrated why cycling feels so at home in Slovenia. Over five days and more than 800 kilometres, riders crossed vineyard-covered hills, rolling countryside, vibrant towns and alpine passes, while fans created a unique atmosphere that has become one of the race's defining features. Through live broadcasts on Eurosport and TV Slovenia, international audiences discovered not only thrilling racing but also Slovenia's green, pristine and remarkably well-maintained landscapes.

One of the highlights was the return to the legendary Vršič Pass for the first time in 13 years. Thousands of spectators gathered along Slovenia's highest mountain road to cheer on the riders, while creative fan installations, green I Feel Slovenia flags and enthusiastic roadside support generated widespread attention on social media. Throughout the race, the Slovenian Tourist Board showcased Slovenia's active lifestyle, natural beauty and cycling-friendly destinations to viewers around the world.

Matej Mohorič Will Ride with You and Cook for You

Cycling enthusiasts will have another reason to visit Slovenia this October. Together with boutique cycling specialist Discover By Bike, Slovenian professional cyclist Matej Mohorič has launched an exclusive seven-day charity cycling experience that combines challenging rides with authentic local encounters. Limited to just eight participants, the journey takes riders from Bled through the Julian Alps, Bohinj, Goriška Brda and the emerald-green Soča Valley, while all proceeds support the Matej Mohorič Foundation.

The experience includes Michelin-starred gastronomy, boutique accommodation, a helicopter flight above the Alps, meetings with local producers and several days of riding alongside Mohorič himself. It reflects a growing trend in Slovenian tourism, where cycling increasingly connects with gastronomy, sustainability, local culture and premium travel experiences.
