Three Sommeliers, One Sustainable Vision: Trois Femmes Wine Debuts Across Europe

Three Sommeliers, One Sustainable Vision: Trois Femmes Wine Debuts Across Europe

Presented at the JRE Congress in Cologne, the Trois Femmes project brings together sustainability, design innovation, and female expertise – offering a fresh angle for how wine is created, packaged, and experienced.

A cross-border partnership led by Puklavec Family Wines is turning a single bottle of wine into a story about the future of gastronomy. Developed in partnership with Vaider and JRE – Jeunes Restaurateurs, the initiative stands out for its holistic approach. At its core is a 100% carbon-neutral bottle – an increasingly relevant talking point as the wine and hospitality industries face mounting pressure to reduce their environmental footprint.

But what makes Trois Femmes particularly compelling is the human story behind it. Three sommeliers from across Europe – Nina Bratovž, Katharina Röder, and Bethany Delong – partnered to co-create the wine, combining their perspectives, palates, and cultural contexts. The result is not just a product, but a story of shared authorship in an industry still largely defined by tradition.

The story opens multiple angles: the rise of women shaping the wine world, the shift toward low-impact production and packaging, and the growing role of international partnerships in defining modern gastronomy.

“Trois Femmes is more than a wine – it is a symbol of connection,” the creators note, pointing to a future where collaboration across borders and disciplines becomes essential to sustainability.

From May 2026, the wine will be available in selected JRE restaurants across Europe, placing it directly into the hands of chefs and sommeliers who are redefining fine dining. For journalists, it offers a timely, layered story – one that connects sustainability, gender, and gastronomy in a single, well-crafted bottle.
