Restavracija Plesnik: Taste the Heart of Solčavsko

As part of the partnership between the MICHELIN Guide and the Slovenian Tourist Board, which connects top gastronomy with the international promotion of Slovenia as a sustainable culinary destination, a new article and a video have been created, presenting the unique culinary story of Plesnik Restaurant in the heart of Logar Valley.

The MICHELIN article highlights Plesnik Restaurant as an example of top sustainable gastronomy in the heart of Logar Valley. The restaurant, which operates within the family-run Hotel Plesnik, was awarded the MICHELIN Green Star in 2025 in recognition of its respect for nature, the local environment and biodiversity.

The story is rooted in the centuries-old heritage of the Plesnik family, who have lived in the valley since 1426, as well as in the development of the hotel, which today stands as a symbol of boutique alpine experiences. The culinary offering, led by chef Tom Čopar together with renowned Slovenian chef Janez Bratovž, is based on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and techniques that follow the rhythm of nature.
