SIW 2026: Portorož to Host Slovenia’s Most Important B2B Tourism Gathering

SIW 2026: Portorož to Host Slovenia’s Most Important B2B Tourism Gathering

The spotlight is turning toward the 28th Slovenian Incoming Workshop (SIW), Slovenia’s flagship B2B tourism event, taking place from 5–7 May 2026 in Portorož. Registrations are now open, and international engagement is expected to be strong.

SIW has firmly established itself as the key marketplace for Slovenian tourism, bringing together carefully selected international tour operators and travel agencies with leading Slovenian providers. The 2025 edition in Bled confirmed the event’s growing global relevance, welcoming 154 foreign buyers from 33 countries and 149 Slovenian suppliers. Remarkably, more than half of the international participants (58%) attended for the first time, underlining Slovenia’s increasing visibility across global markets.

Buyers came from major European markets such as Italy, the USA, the UK and the Czech Republic, alongside strong representation from long-haul regions including North America, Asia, Australia, South America and the Middle East. This broad geographic reach reflects the rising demand for authentic, sustainable and high-quality experiences — precisely the segments where Slovenia continues to strengthen its positioning.

Set against the Adriatic backdrop of Portorož, SIW 2026 is expected to further elevate Slovenia’s profile within the international travel trade.  Pre-arranged B2B meetings, networking events and destination presentations create a dynamic environment where future programmes and strategic partnerships take shape.

As global interest in boutique, green and experience-driven destinations grows, SIW remains one of the most important gateways to the Slovenian tourism offer.

Registrations are now open — and anticipation for May is already building.
