Slovenia House in Cortina: A Hub for Business Networking at the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

On Thursday, 12 February 2026, the Slovenia House in Cortina d’Ampezzo hosted a high-profile business event during the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Organised by the Italian representative office of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) in cooperation with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia (OCS), the event brought together leading Slovenian and Italian partners, further amplifying Slovenia’s international presence within the Olympic setting.

The gathering connected key stakeholders from the tourism sector and offered an exclusive networking opportunity in one of the world’s most prestigious sporting environments.

Participants began the day at the Slovenia House before attending the women’s super-G race on the iconic Olympia delle Tofane slope. Immersed in the electric atmosphere of the Games, they experienced first-hand the spirit of Olympic competition in one of alpine skiing’s most renowned arenas.

Upon returning to the Slovenia House, guests enjoyed a refined business lunch prepared by Tomaž Kavčič, one of Slovenia’s most acclaimed chefs and a Michelin-star holder. Through his restaurant Pri Lojzetu at Zemono Manor, Kavčič is celebrated for his sophisticated reinterpretation of Slovenian culinary heritage. The carefully curated menu, featuring premium Slovenian ingredients and a contemporary approach, elegantly reinforced Slovenia’s positioning as a destination of excellence.

The event once again confirmed that global sporting occasions such as the Olympic Games provide an outstanding platform for strengthening Slovenia’s international visibility and fostering strategic partnerships in tourism and the wider economy. The Slovenia House in Cortina proved to be both a dynamic meeting point and a compelling showcase for Slovenia’s tourism excellence.

As part of the broader Olympic programme, an additional event at the Slovenia House was organised by the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, in cooperation with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad.
