Nearly One Million Hours of Physical Activity Logged in the I Feel Slovenia Challenge

The I Feel Slovenia Strava Challenge, held from 12 to 25 December 2025, brought together more than 115,000 recreational athletes from across the globe, representing a broad spectrum of sports. Cyclists, runners and hikers stood out as the most active groups. Compared with other Strava challenges, I Feel Slovenia recorded an exceptionally strong user response and above-average engagement.

Strava is a unique digital platform and social network that connects athletes and recreational sports enthusiasts while encouraging regular physical activity across a wide range of disciplines. In December, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) partnered with Strava to launch the I Feel Slovenia Challenge, motivating users to complete at least 100 minutes of physical activity during the challenge period.

Participants who successfully completed the challenge were also entered into a prize draw for a weekend experience in the Vipava Valley, provided by the Slovenia Outdoor Association. The winner will enjoy an active two-day getaway in green and active Slovenia, experiencing first-hand why the country is recognised as a destination for outdoor enthusiasts who embrace sport, nature and a healthy lifestyle.

More Than a Century of Activity in Just 14 Days

Strava users are known as some of the most passionate and dedicated recreational athletes, keen to connect with like-minded individuals who share the values of an active and healthy way of life. Over the 14 days of the I Feel Slovenia Challenge, participants recorded nearly 100,000 individual activities, amounting to almost one million hours of physical activity. Converted into years, this represents an impressive 109 years of collective recreation.

The core objective of the partnership between the Slovenian Tourist Board and Strava was to promote regular physical activity and encourage sports participation. By tracking their workouts and accepting the I Feel Slovenia Challenge, users collectively covered more than 12.6 million kilometres across a variety of sports.

Cyclists, Runners and Hikers Lead Participation

Among the more than 115,000 participants, cyclists, runners and hikers made up the largest share. In total, users completed almost one million activities, with an outstanding 93 per cent of participants successfully finishing the challenge.

The challenge also led to a significant increase in membership of the Sport Fans of Slovenia Strava Club, where users connect through shared sporting interests and exchange experiences and inspiration. New members are welcome to join the club via this link.
