The emerald Soča River sets the scene for guided hikes, cultural events and local experiences, all underlining the valley’s long-standing commitment to inclusive, nature-based tourism.

Laško and Štajerska – Anniversaries and Local Flavour

Laško celebrates major anniversaries, from 200 years of brewing to the 60th Pivo in cvetje Festival, with a host of special events. Across Štajerska, free hikes, workshops, and tastings bring people together under the banner of sustainable tourism.

Slovenia’s “most castle-like castle” opens its doors for free tours of exhibitions and historic interiors, with a warm welcome awaiting at the Castle Café.

World Tourism Day 2025 shines a light on destinations that combine responsibility with inspiration. Slovenia offers exactly that: a land where vibrant cities meet unspoiled nature, where vineyards and wellness traditions go hand in hand with cutting-edge sustainability. It is a country that invites travellers to slow down, connect with locals and experience a greener, more mindful Europe.
