Beyond the Wall: A Special Podcast with Janja Garnbret Ahead of Her Charity Climb

In next week’s special episode of Feel Slovenia the Podcast, discover a side of Janja Garnbret you’ve never met before. As she prepares for her “24 Hours, 100 Routes, One Mission” charity climb, Janja shares personal stories, reflections and insights – just weeks before Slovenia welcomes the IFSC World Cup Koper 2025 in September.

Next week, a special episode of Feel Slovenia the podcast will take listeners beyond the competition walls to reveal a more personal side of Janja Garnbret – the Olympic champion, global climbing icon and ambassador of Slovenian tourism. In this candid conversation, Janja will shares insights into her journey, inspirations and the values that drive her, offering stories and perspectives fans have never heard before.

The episode was recorded shortly before her latest charitable commitment. In December 2024, Janja took over the long-standing sponsorship of the “Botrstvo” (Godparenthood) programme from basketball star Goran Dragić. She has embraced the role with dedication, using her platform to support children and young people in need and reinforcing her belief that sport can be a powerful force for good.

Her upcoming challenge, “24 Hours, 100 Routes, One Mission” will unite her world-class athletic ability with her passion for helping others. In just one day, she will conquer 100 climbing routes – and everyone is invited to join her on the wall, turning each ascent into a shared step toward change.

Slovenia’s climbing spotlight will shine even brighter in the weeks ahead. On 5 and 6 September, the IFSC World Cup returns to Koper for two days of top-tier competition. For Janja, it will be a rare chance to compete on home ground before the season’s final stages.
