New Cultural Experience in Piran: “Art and Secrets of Piran” Tour Now Available

A new guided tour through Piran reveals the town’s hidden artistic treasures, architectural gems, and cultural stories in an experience designed for curious and culturally minded visitors.

A new guided tour invites visitors to discover Piran in a whole new way – through its hidden artistic gems, architectural heritage, and untold stories. Titled “Art and Secrets of Piran: A Journey Through History and Culture”, the experience offers an exciting 3-hour walk through the charming coastal town, curated for culture seekers and art lovers.

Led by experienced local guide Polona Senčar from the Maona agency, the tour opens the doors to five interior spaces that are typically closed to the public, including the magnificent Secession-style Tartini Theatre. Participants will uncover lesser-known works by great Renaissance masters such as Domenico Tintoretto and Vittore Carpaccio, explore historic buildings, and hear local legends passed down through generations.

The guided tour is designed as a boutique cultural experience, combining storytelling with exclusive access to some of the most artistically significant spaces in Piran. A glass of local wine is included and audio receivers are provided to ensure every guest can fully enjoy the guide’s commentary.

This new offer reflects Piran’s dedication to developing high-quality cultural tourism while preserving its heritage and enriching the visitor experience. The tour is available in multiple languages by prior arrangement and is ideal for small groups or individual travelers looking to go beyond the typical sightseeing route.

The experience runs regularly from April through October and costs €30 per person.
