STB Showcases Slovenia at EXPO Osaka as a Destination of Sustainability and Unique Experiences

At the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) is proud to present Slovenia as a country committed to sustainability and distinguished by its diverse and authentic experiences. Two flagship events will take place: one for media representatives and another for international tour operators and travel agents.

For years, Slovenia has recognized world expos as a strategic opportunity to enhance its visibility and strengthen its global reputation. At EXPO Osaka, Slovenia will participate as part of a group pavilion featuring a 53 m² exhibition area, an additional 22 m² space, a 15 m² showroom and a shared stage for live events and presentations.

The 2025 World Expo will be held on Yumeshima, an artificial island off the coast of Osaka – Japan’s economic and cultural hub in the west, and the country’s third-largest city. This year’s central theme, "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," revolves around the vision of Society 5.0 – a harmonious integration of virtual and real worlds, economic advancement and solutions to global societal challenges. The event is expected to draw more than 28 million visitors and will host participants from over 160 countries and regions, including Slovenia.

Slovenia’s presence at EXPO Osaka will also be integrated into the Expo’s official thematic weeks, with active involvement in key focus areas such as sustainable development, mobility, technology, health and culture.
