The 13th season of Odprta Kuhna kicks off at Pogačarjev trg

The 13th season of Odprta Kuhna kicks off at Pogačarjev trg

On Friday, March 21, the beloved Odprta Kuhna open-air culinary market returns to Pogačarjev trg in Ljubljana, marking the start of its thirteenth season. Every sunny Friday from March to October, the market will once again transform the square into a vibrant meeting place, offering an array of street food specialties and a lively atmosphere filled with enticing aromas, favoyrite dishes and refreshing drinks.

This year, the culinary lineup welcomes exciting new additions, including Taverna Lyra, bringing authentic Greek flavours, the celebrated JB Restaurant, Žmoht, Langoš Atelier from Lendava and Pronto! Focacceria. Their offer will take visitors on a journey from Prekmurje specialties to Mediterranean and Italian delicacies, adding even more diversity to the market’s already rich selection.

Beyond its gastronomic appeal, Odprta Kuhna remains a pioneer in sustainable culinary practices. All food and drinks are served in returnable or biodegradable packaging and strict waste separation is in place. The market also collaborates with charitable organizations, ensuring that unused ingredients and meals reach those in need.

Now an integral part of Ljubljana’s cultural and social scene, Odprta Kuhna invites food lovers, locals and visitors alike to embrace the spirit of the market. Whether arriving on foot, by bike, or via public transport, guests are encouraged to savour every bite, enjoy good company and celebrate the flavours of the season.
