Three Unique Experiences Among Roses, Smugglers, and Nobles

As part of the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025, the Nova Gorica and Vipava Valley Tourism Boards, in partnership with the GO! 2025 Institute, have launched the so-called Experience Factory (Tovarna izkušenj) project, blending cultural heritage with innovative tourism experiences.

Biškotične – Rose-Inspired Cookies

Inspired by the bourbon roses historically linked to the French royal Bourbon family, these delicately crafted cookies symbolise Nova Gorica’s identity. Made with liqueur, syrup and freeze-dried rose petals, they were developed in partnership with Pekarna Brumat. The biscuits are available at Nova Gorica Tourist Info Point, Ajdovščina Tourist Info Point, select shops across Slovenia and various cafés, bars and restaurants in Nova Gorica and its surroundings.

Smuggling Tour – A Thrilling Borderland Adventure

Drawing from Goriška’s rich smuggling history, this interactive tour transforms visitors into smugglers, solving challenges while navigating between Europe Square and Pristava. The experience includes a visit to the Smuggling Museum in Pristava and is available in Slovenian, Italian and English.
