Instagram FeelSlovenia as an Inspiration for Exploring Slovenia

In 2024, the Instagram profile FeelSlovenia (@feelslovenia) once again set high standards, achieving remarkable success and showcasing the power of digital communication by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB).

With over 1,200 posts, the profile garnered more than 6.1 million interactions, while reels amassed over 15 million views. Last year, more than 28,000 users mentioned the profile in their posts, with peak activity in May, June and August.

A highlight of the year was receiving the InOrbit Awards 2024 in May, recognizing the excellence and international impact of the FeelSlovenia Instagram profile.

Instagram: A Key Platform for Promoting Slovenia

With more than 2 billion active monthly users, Instagram is one of the most influential platforms for promoting tourism. Its visual nature allows Slovenia to present itself in the most captivating and authentic way possible. The goal is to highlight the country’s diverse tourism offer, spark interest among potential visitors and encourage the dispersion of tourist flows across Slovenia. Organic communication through social media is central to our strategy, enabling us to build meaningful connections with followers and foster two-way communication. The STB follows the latest trends, with an agile approach to our communication strategy and a focus on diverse editorial content.

Achievements of the @feelslovenia Profile

In 2024, we shared over 1,200 posts, with some gaining significant attention. The most engaging post was a video capturing the Christmas lights in Ljubljana, followed closely by a post celebrating the success of Slovenian football players at EURO2024 and a partnership post with Joker Out.

Among the year’s highlights were posts celebrating the success of the ambassador of Slovenian tourism Janja Garnbret, as well as stunning visuals of Ljubljana, the Logar Valley and a snowy scene in Celje.

The FeelSlovenia profile serves not only as a promotional tool for Slovenia’s destinations but also as a space for building meaningful connections with our followers. This initiative is made possible through a partnership between the STB and Jutra d.o.o., led by Nina Kurnik.

Key Statistics of the FeelSlovenia Profile:

  • Over 269,000 followers, with 79% coming from abroad, reflecting Slovenia’s growing international appeal.
  • 66% of followers are aged between 25 and 44, making the profile particularly popular with younger adults.
  • 70% of all interactions with STB content on social media come from the @feelslovenia profile.
