Zlato Polje: Prekmurje’s New Sustainable Tourism Gem

In the charming village of Tešanovci, near Moravske Toplice, a new sustainable tourism project, Zlato Polje, is set to redefine the visitor experience in Prekmurje. This upcoming guest house, designed with a commitment to sustainability, will not only enrich the region’s green tourism offering but also provide guests with an authentic and unforgettable Prekmurje experience.

Spanning an area of 2,800 square metres, Zlato Polje will harmoniously integrate into its surroundings with a thoughtfully designed Pannonian-style exterior. Inside, visitors will find 24 modern, energy-efficient rooms with 58 beds, alongside a variety of amenities such as:

  • restaurant featuring local cuisine, celebrating Prekmurje’s rich culinary heritage.
  • Wellness and recreational facilities, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation.
  • Conference spaces, ideal for meetings and events.

The project prioritizes the use of natural materials, low energy consumption, and environmentally responsible design. Its holistic commitment to sustainability will secure an environmental certificate and place it within the Slovenia Green scheme, setting a new benchmark for eco-conscious tourism in Slovenia.

The construction of Zlato Polje is entrusted to Lumar, a leader in sustainable timber construction, renowned for projects such as the Expano pavilion at Murska Sobota Lake. With their expertise, the project will showcase the use of renewable resources and energy-efficient technologies, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint while delivering maximum comfort.

Zlato Polje is envisioned as more than just a guest house; it will serve as a vibrant hub for those seeking relaxation, connection with nature, and authentic cultural encounters. By partnering with local producers and the community, the project will promote Prekmurje's traditions, from its gastronomy to its crafts, while supporting the region's economy.
