Laying the Foundation for Kneipp NaturHotel at Terme Snovik

Laying the Foundation for Kneipp NaturHotel at Terme Snovik

In late November, the foundation stone for the Kneipp NaturHotel was laid at Terme Snovik. With a €22 million investment, this innovative project will transform the spa and region, marking a new chapter in sustainable tourism with a design rooted in Kneipp wellness principles.

The foundation stone ceremony for the Kneipp NaturHotel at Terme Snovik marks a significant milestone in the spa’s 30th anniversary year, celebrating the opening of its first swimming pool and the beginning of a sustainable tourism vision in the Tuhinj valley. In 2022, the spa successfully secured funding from the Ministry of Economy, Tourism, and Sport, receiving EUR 1.8 million for hotel construction – approximately 8% of the total investment. With the final building permit obtained within 10 months, the hotel is set to open in 2026.

This new investment aligns with Slovenia's strategic tourism goals and the Kamnik Tourism Strategy, enhancing the green, healthy and active offer at Snovik. The introduction of a 4-star superior hotel, alongside an expanded wellness area, will complement the existing spa facilities with new swimming pool capacities, all naturally enriched with healing thermal water.

The Kneipp NaturHotel will feature a four-storey wooden structure with various room types, including standard and deluxe double rooms, junior suites and superior suites. Guests will enjoy an à la carte restaurant, café, wine corner, shop and children's playroom. The hotel will also house an adults-only wellness area with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and three saunas.

The wellness renovation will introduce a new pool with indoor-outdoor access, a Kneipp cave, physiotherapy, massages, a hairdresser, beauty services, a Kneipp centre, and a fitness centre. A yoga, meditation and special treatments area will also be available on the second floor, complete with a terrace for activities.

Additionally, a convention centre with three halls will host business events, weddings, cultural activities, and trade fairs, further establishing Snovik as a comprehensive tourism destination.
