The Julian Alps Association and the Sašo Avsenik Ensemble have formed a partnership to promote cultural heritage and the natural beauty of the Julian Alps through music. The aim is to boost Slovenia’s visibility globally by showcasing its rich traditions and landscapes, both at home and abroad.

The Sašo Avsenik Ensemble, led by Sašo Avsenik, grandson of the legendary Slavko Avsenik, will play a key role in promoting Slovenia’s tourism. The ensemble performs internationally, which is why they are the best for spreading the message of Slovenia's unique blend of culture, nature and hospitality. Sašo Avsenik expressed pride in continuing the family legacy, believing music is Slovenia’s best ambassador, transcending borders through a universal language.

Klemen Langus, Director of the Bohinj Tourist Board and Coordinator of the Julian Alps Association, emphasized that the region represents a third of Slovenia's tourism, nestled in the country's only national park. This partnership with the ensemble is part of a larger effort to link tourism with other sectors, showcasing the living, breathing nature of the Julian Alps.

Blaž Veber, Director of Bled Tourism, highlighted that the Julian Alps are not only a destination for nature tourism but also a hub for cultural tourism. The collaboration reflects the region’s authenticity, inviting visitors to experience its genuine beauty.

From now on, the ensemble will hit the road in a new van, proudly branded with the iconic image of the Julian Alps. This vehicle symbolizes the ensemble’s continuous journey and their commitment to spreading Slovenia’s cultural and natural heritage to audiences around the world.
